Toasted at Fireside Inn
Last Thursday after we went to the car dealer and finalized the deal and after I got my permit we had dinner at a restaurant just down the road where the car dealership was located. So we stopped at this place called David’s Fireside Steak, we went there once before when we used to travel to Cooperstown for a small picnic, just the two of us. Hehe, so it’s small. Anyway, we stopped there once and it was OK. I can’t remember what I had I think we just had a little order of appetizer because I felt sick from a long drive so we decided to take a break. But Thursday we both had the specials for the day. I had the salmon and hubby had spinach stuffed steak which was really good. It’s always like whatever he orders I would usually like it and vice versa. We had wine and toasted for my newly acquired permit and our 2 brand new cars! My salmon was pretty good as well it was topped with some red pepper and some kind of sauce.
I was so hungry and stressed after driving to Marcy way up north, and driving on the Thruway either wasn’t an exciting ride. Then went to DMV office and took my eye test and written test which I successfully passed considering I didn’t really study. The week ended in bliss.

Got My Permit
Yesterday I wasn’t able to grab any opps because went to get my permit and yes, I got it. Passed the eyes test and the written test. I was a little apprehensive I wasn’t sure if I would pass it I didn’t study the ones on the test but I made it anyway. Thanks God.

NY DMV New Office Schedule
Disappointed!
Yesterday we were hurrying up after my morning job and since i Didn’t work in the afternoon we planned once again to visit the DMV office to get my learner’s permit. We were there about 2:30p and I notice the wasn’t as crowded as last week. But wait a minute, I am seeing an old guy backed out trying to push the door open and it wont? What?? The hubby got out olf the car to check why, it is not even 3 o’clock. Great! The office is closed on Fridays now. THANKS TO OUR NEW GOVERNOR, DAVID PATERSON! Whenever they decided that they don’t have office on Fridays, probably just within the week. I was so excited to get my learner’s permit so I could start hitting the road now and get my own car. Now I will have to get a full day off next week somewhere between Monday - Thursday but not Friday. God, are they killing me.
